Purpose

The Brisbane State High School Past Students' Association was originally formed as separate Old Girls' and Old Boys' Associations in 1921. It was created with the aim of keeping all past students in contact with one another and with current activities of the School. There are presently in excess of 30,000 past students.

The regular newsletter "Amicus" is mailed four times a year to all financial members of the Association. At present there are approximately 1400 financial members. Activities include an annual reunion dinner as well as reunions for such milestones as 10th, 20th, 25th and 50th year anniversaries of classes.

The Past Students' Association also gives financial assistance to the School for projects aimed at promoting the tradition and spirit of Brisbane State High School.

All past students are encouraged to join the Association, and present students are also encouraged to do so in the future. Application for membership of the BSHS Past Students Association can be made via the link to, BSHS PSA Application Form (52KB).

Further enquiries should be directed to the Secretary of the Past Students' Association, c/- Brisbane State High School.
