Year 8 Enrolment

Year 8, 2010: Timelines for Application Process

For Year 8 students who wish to begin Year 8 at Brisbane State High School, application must be made within the stated timeline of the previous year.

For entry into the beginning of Year 8, 2010, the following dates apply.

Rugby Union trial for Year 8 2010 13 July 2009
Information Evening for Year 8 2010 - F-Block- Edmondstone St- Sth Brisbane-  7pm – 8.30pm 13 May 2009
Closing date for Academic Merit applications Applications received after this date will NOT be considered. 19 June 2009
Academic Selection Test 19 July 2009
Closing date for Cultural Merit applications for Instrumental Music * and Visual Art 24 July 2009
Cultural Merit - Visual Art workshop 8 August 2009
Applicants notified of results of Academic Selection Test Late August 2009

* Applications received after this date will still be considered but will be subject to places remaining.

Please note: Original documents may be collected from the school by a parent (identification required) or they can be returned by post (Brisbane State High School cannot accept any responsibility for documents sent in the post).
