Fact Sheet: Sporting Merit

Brisbane State High School has a proud sporting tradition and a strong commitment to the Great Public Schools (GPS) Association of Queensland Inc and Queensland Girls' Secondary School Sporting Association (QGSSSA) programs. The school has discretionary power to determine in which activities, and to which students in a particular activity, it has the capacity to offer assistance and support.

It is a requirement that students who successfully gain admission on the basis of their sporting merit will continue to participate fully in that sport (and others) during their years at the school. Students who enrol under this category will be expected to make Brisbane State High School and its involvement in GPS and QGSSSA sport their primary sporting commitment.
